For Sarah Vining, Rock Hill has always been home. She grew up here, left for a short time to experience life in bigger cities, and made the intentional choice to come back. Why? Because there’s no place quite like Rock Hill. It’s where neighbors look out for each other, where small businesses bring life to downtown, and where the sense of community runs deep.

As the owner of The Hickory Post in downtown Rock Hill, Sarah has spent years creating a space where local entrepreneurs and artists can launch, grow, and thrive. She knows what it’s like to take a risk, to build something from the ground up, and to lean on community partnerships that make success possible.

Now, Sarah is ready to bring that same spirit to City Council, representing Ward 6. She believes Rock Hill’s best days are ahead, but only if we protect the things that make this city feel like home while planning for thoughtful growth. Her campaign is built on three priorities:

  • Affordability: Keeping Rock Hill livable for families, young professionals, and retirees.

  • Talent: Creating opportunities for professionals to stay, work and thrive in the City of Rock Hill.

  • Character + Charm: Protecting the warmth and spirit that make Rock Hill feel like home while planning for thoughtful growth.

Sarah’s campaign isn’t about politics, it’s about people. It’s about making sure Rock Hill remains a place where kids can grow up, businesses can put down roots, and neighbors still wave at each other on the sidewalk.

Join the Journey

Sarah is ready to serve her neighbors with the same passion she pours into her business and her community. Together, we can keep Rock Hill moving forward while staying grounded in what makes it so special.

Stay tuned for updates, stories, and ways to connect as the campaign continues. Thank you for being part of this journey!
